International Management Institute (IMI) established in 1981, is India's first corporate-sponsored Business School. International Management Institute (IMI), Bhubaneswar commenced the classes for the first batch of PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management) approved by AICTE on August 2011. The new campus of IMI at Bhubaneswar is dedicated to develop socially sensitive, ethical, value adding leaders and organizations through relevant teaching, research, training and consulting that serve stakeholders' interests.

The placement process starts in October 2017 with the Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) which provides an opportunity for the recruiting companies and the students to interact. The presentations by the company about itself (history, growth, potential, future opportunity etc.) and positions/profiles available (content, compensation package, location, etc.) give vital inputs to each aspiring students. The PPT also doubles the opportunity for the organization to recruit the first year students for Summer Internship.
